I'm in an odd space here. I'm generally all about references and all that. But... they just feel weird here. This season almost feel like "Star Trek Picard Season 3: Discovery"

I want alittle more about Kovich. I don't need a whole ass origin story or anything like that, but I would at the very least like to learn alittle about what he actually does for Starfleet. As in like, what his on-the-books position is. Is he Future Section 31? Is he just Intelligence? Is he something else entirely?

You're getting way ahead of yourself. We're just speculating. We don't know what we will or won't find out.

So far, DSC Season 5 feels nothing like PIC Season 3... and I'm a fan of PIC Season 3.

So far, DSC Season 5 feels nothing like PIC Season 3... and I'm a fan of PIC Season 3.

It doesn't feel like it was filmed in a small cave somewhere for one thing.

My husband quoted, "Crabapple under crabapple tree, treasure under altar. Logic."

Except he didn't cross the line because it was a "red directive".
And the idea a captain from a few years ago is out of touch and not the one from the 23rd century is laughable.

He put a civilian population at risk because he was to stubborn to back down. That is inexcusable.

If Burnham did it, I doubt you would see it as not crossing a line.

Completely agreed. Kovich is the DISCO version of Garak. (NO ONE can be Garak except Garak, but part of why he was so awesome was that you never truly knew what he was going to do and really know him well. Even the things we DO know are only pieces of a much larger puzzle.)

Now imagine Kovich suddenly smiling deviously like Garak did... that would be quite a moment!

Like I said recently, Surely there have been another races through the eons whose knowledge and ability in genomics, all that, approached or even surpasses that of the Progenitors?
