Yelling at the Federation president is a big deal. Imagine a navy captain yelling at the U.S. president. It would be a career suicide move.
I'm a little bored with the season so far. It's ok. The only part of the action scenes I was excited about was when the statue head appeared to open its eyes. It looked really cool and for a moment it was like awakening an angry god. It could have been like a video game boss battle. I see the Indiana Jones association, but the keys to the puzzle feels more like an Uncharted scenario.
Not looking forward to Trill next week if Gray still has his mullet. Either way, I hope Adira and Gray break up for real. It's all sci-fi, but their relationship doesn't feel like one that should continue. He was basically trapped within their psyche for a time, and his only access to the world. They also have the symbiont that was once part of him. There could be some resentment. Actually, I'd like to see Gray deal with Tal directly in that way. And at least for me, I know I'd be having an existential crisis about who I am, given that the "real" me died and I am a homunculus made from a copy of the symbiont's memories in a robot body.
That's a good point.
Jadzia and Verad both acted absolutely devastated after they lost the Dax symbiote.
Hell, even Culber had more of an existential crisis after literally going through what Gray went through.
Maybe that's why I can't get into the character. To me, he's not really acting like a real person would, even as defined by the very series and show that he's on.
