The difference between Star Wars and Star Trek is that in Star Wars you're fighting the man and in Star Trek you are the man.
I think that's a message you can take away from it, but not one that was intended. After all, plenty of SW heroes have no Force powers. Arguably the most popular characters, in fact.I don't really think that's true at all. The message of Star Wars is for the most part that only "special" people have agency like those who are Force sensitive. Everyone else is just along for the ride, more or less.
I think that's a message you can take away from it,
It's implicit (i.e. interpreted) in the core narrative of Star Wars that non-Force users have no agency? It's implicit in the core narrative.
"Now I don't need to pay further royalties to my Ex-wife whose editing helped make STAR WARS a huge success..."I really wonder what George's thought process was behind that addition.
The Star Trek Strange New Worlds series premiere in Canada ...
The Bad Batch, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Solo and Rogue One are all about heroes with no Force powers.
Hahaha...And all happen to be better than the three most recent adventures with the main heroes possessing Force powers.
It helped that the high points were The Mandalorian. And the high points were equal to any episode of The Mandalorian...
Yeah...I find myself going back to the films over anything related to Mandalorian.Yes, even the lowpoints of The Book of Boba Fett were better than TLJ or TROS.![]()
Meh, that's irrelevant anyway. The question isn't whether they're good or not, but whether somehow non-Force users have "agency", whatever the hell that means.Yes, even the lowpoints of The Book of Boba Fett were better than TLJ or TROS.![]()
FTFYAnd the high points wereequal to anyepisodes of The Mandalorian...
We're less than subtle about our lack of subtlety around here.Hey, I was trying to be subtle about it!
