They don’t care about his Trek knowledge level. He could be an Uber fan with encyclopedic knowledge of the history and lore and still draw their ire for crossing what ever imaginary line they’ve drawn in the sand.

Yahtzee in 2259 comes with game pieces shaped like famous Starfleet officers. If you get the Robau piece you automatically win.

The Robau piece shakes the dice cup by its own sheer will.

Pike: Do you know the reputation of Lieutenant Spock?
Robau: I'm unfamiliar with Lieutenant Spock.
Spock: What is the current stardate?
Pike: What you think it is. You're just not that famous yet.
    Spock: :vulcan:

The Star Trek Strange New Worlds series premiere in Canada had less than 782k viewers.
This is the lowest confirmed viewership in Canada for any live-action NuTrek series premiere.

    For comparison:

    Star Trek Picard S01E01
    1,851k

    Star Trek Discovery S01E01
    2,274k

The Star Trek Picard season 2 final "Farewell" aired on the same day. It also had less than 782k viewers. The Picard season 1 final "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 2" S01E10 had 1,382k viewers.

Instead of "Char," can we call you "Charts"?

No one here cares about the viewers, we only care about the content of the shows.

Take your charts to twitter or youtube. Leave us out of it.

But it was a 20th Century Fox movie. So wouldn't Disney own it?
It's not on D+, though the remake, also by Fox, is.

They probably just paid for the rights to show that one scene.

WAY less than 782,000 people look at this message board every week and we don't complain. ;)

But some people post 782,000 messages a week, so there’s that.

It seems viewership demand in the United States is rather good for the series:

Level of care of any of @Char Kais posts: zero.

    I’d create a chart but… meh.

Matched only by the number of people here that DGAF.

Pike at his current high point reminded me of the low point of another ship commander.

This has officially topped TNG as my favorite Star Trek show ever.

AND WE ARE ONLY 2 EPISODES IN.

I mean, granted, my love for TOS and TNG was largely retroactive. I was born decades after TOS, and TNG ended before I could become a regular viewer (I was only 5 when it went off the air). DS9 and Voyager both failed to entertain me, Enterprise showed some promise but also largely failed. Discovery Season 1 and 2, Picard Season 1, and Lower Decks are the closest to viewing a new Star Trek show each week and actually enjoying it I ever got to. Prodigy was ok but I'm not the target audience. So far I haven't felt like there is a Star Trek show that checked off every box of what I want in a weekly series.

    Until now.

Honestly, I just really have a hard time waiting for new episodes. I tear up every time I see the intro or hear the end credits theme. This show is perfect for me: it is relevant, it is fun, it is optimistic, funny, dramatic, lighthearted, awesome. It's literally the most perfect Star Trek show I've ever seen. It tops every other iteration of Star Trek in every way possible. This is just plain MY Star Trek.
