And since when have you cared about this? You certainly have never given a shit when Discovery contradicts previous Star Trek.
The command gold/yellow is now more of a mustard tone to put it more in line with how the color appeared on TOS.
The new uniforms look so good and dare I say comfortable to wear. I start sweating just looking at the older ones. They just look hot and restrictive and those collars have always been a no deal for me, since we first saw them on the disco blues.
They're pullover shirts again. Which they should have been from the start. I'm happy!
I wasn't sure about the new uniform from certain angles (mostly because of the collar) but it looks really good on Pike in that screenshot. Looks very much like the Beyond uniform with the '09 deeper V collar.
I wouldn't pin your hopes on it.
I love the way Anson Mount looks in that uniform. So, I'm in. Okay, they could put him there in a yellow potato sack and I'd love it. 
(I know I'm being shallow but hey, I'll be watching the show for Pike, so there's that, he's my focus, I can't help it, Anson Mount is just so handsome and I'm so thrilled for him that he's getting his own show and ship and crew.)

Hey, he is very hot, so nothing wrong with that.
Plus his version of the character on Disc was ridiculously likeable, we can only hope this continues into the new show.
They're already better than any of the DSC ones and we haven't even gotten a full teaser trailer.
My issues with the inclusion of Uhura, Chapel, and M'Benga aren't actually based on their inclusion contradicting previous Star Trek. The point of my posts on that subject was to refute the notion that there wasn't anything established in previous Star Trek that precluded them having served aboard the Enterprise under Pike.
My issues with their inclusion center on what I believe are the underlying motivations for including them in the first place.
I dislike and have little interest in supporting creative decisions that don't appear to serve any specific narrative or logistical purpose.
He is a damn fine handsome man, without question. I’ve seen many I interviews with him over the years, going back to the early days of Hell on Wheels and he always seemed like a very down-to-earth straight shooter kind of guy. Totally professional and just a kind-hearted individual. I honestly don’t think they could have picked a better actor to play Pike.
Um... since we haven't seen the show, we don't know if they "serve any specific narrative or logistical purpose." We won't know until the show premieres and gets some episodes out for us to see. Besides, they are serving the same purpose as Michael Burnham being connected to Spock and Sarek, to sell subscriptions to people who like nostalgia.
Heh ... In that pic, Pike seems to have the same expression on his face as Kirk did when he realized they changed the captains chair on the Enterprise-A.

I disagree with you.
Tying Burnham to Spock was not a 'nostalgia pandering' decision; it was a decision in the same vein as bringing Miles O'Brien and his family from TNG to DS9 or, in the realm of non-Star Trek, bringing Cordelia and Wesley from Buffy to ANGEL, both of which are decisions intended to give audiences something familiar to latch onto in a brand-new story and serve as a 'hook' to catch their interest.
New, more TOS Enterprise and uniforms make Eddie happy.
So, to sell the show. It wasn't a creative decision, it was a decision done to pander to nostalgia and get folks to subscribe.
Really hope the Enterprise pylons are straight!
Hard to tell from that fuzzy bridge monitor image but the underside of the saucer section defintely looks more undulating and curved like the TOS saucer section.
