Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

I feel like people forget that the "lesser" episodes in a 26-season are often doing good work too; they're letting you spend time with characters you like, in a world you enjoy. They're absolutely crucial to the texture of the work as a whole.

There's an artistry to long-running episodic TV which people are way too quick to dismiss nowadays.
Agree 100%.

TOS, TNG, & DS9 are the best three Trek shows by a good margin. Prodigy is up there, too, at 20 per season.

I like episodic way better than serial and 26 way more than 10. Not even close.

This makes me think even more that they’re going to show seasons 4 & 5 back-to-back.

I doubt that. They might not have as long a break in between, but I can't see them airing them back to back like one whole season. Might as well just make a 16 episode season 4 then.

And as much as "TATV...(ENT)" pained me, the closing shots of the three hero ship Enterprises as first Picard then Kirk and Archer recite the opening narration are fantastic, and I could see SNW's final episode doing its own take on that to pass the torch.

But they forgot the Enterprise-E! Not to mention the Enterprise-A and B!
