I like SNW, but I still prefer PIC. I'm not jumping on the "Picard Sucks!" Bandwagon.

Sometimes the story in SNW doesn't grab me, but I was interested in PIC's story throughout. The only issue I had was how said story was handled during the second half of the second season. I'm not throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

Picard! Oh, yeah! I still need to watch the final episode. I may watch it when SNW is over and then Orville. Since SNW is satisfying my Trek Fix pretty well, I've not felt the need to go back to either.

Trust me. No man can fake kiss you and you react like a bomb hit you. I believe in the bar scene where Chapel ditches her boring date, Spock is in the background watching her. That's why she goes over.
If you wrote these speculations as fanfiction I would probably read it. I like playing what-ifs too. But you appear to be presenting assumptions you've made as a self-evident reading of the "text.." Instead, it feels like you're pushing an agenda/perspective that's pretty much all in your head. The last time I didn't agree with your particular view you were dismissive and insulting. I don't want to do that. Because, like I said above, I might enjoy reading the fanfic versions.

PIC in two years hasn't been as good as SNW in just a few episodes.
Agreed, and I really liked this season of Picard. There's just something fresh and new that I really love about SNW (which I keep calling "New South Wales" in my head when I see the abbreviation, I can't help it, it WILL NOT STOP). It has to be the way everything seems to gel so well together, from the characters to the stories, and that it's episodic! I enjoy a story arc as much as the next person, but it's nice to sometimes semi-reset the clock at the end of the episode without getting rid of all the good stuff gained from it.

Oh, I do know one particular reason I love SNW: it's bright! It's well lit! I can SEE THE SET!

Serialized has too much boring filler. I can't believe anyone loved watching Picard in his stupid chsteau for half of the 2nd season. It's was so boring and helped to ruin the whole story. At least with episodic I'm only out an hour of my time with a bad ep and not 10 or 13.
Stop bringing you Picard/Discovery hate into this forum. Next time gets you another trolling warning.

I thought that was by far the weakest SNW episode yet.

Every beat felt contrived, the villain when revealed was uninteresting and hammy, and the most exciting thing in the episode happened offscreen. Whatever message they were trying to express about Spock’s humanity was muddled and incoherent.

And they said that Federation ships rarely leave Federation space literally ten seconds before the opening credits says the mission was to boldly go where no one has gone before. Did the writers forget Federation ships going outside Federation space was the premise of the entire franchise?!

It was worth it alone for Pike's pirate impression and Sybok.

The reveal of Angel as the real villain I could see coming a mile away and she was a little too hammy for my tastes at times but damn, this was another solid episode. 7 in a row. The rest of the season can be absolute shite and it'll still be the best first season of any Trek series since TOS.

Exactly what I thought after 7 episodes of Discovery. Heck, more like until 10 or 11. Until Captiany Killy at least.

Since SNW is not serialized, in terms of the plot, at least. I the last one doesn't stick the landing, it won't matter as much.

I still think I'd rate Disco S1 over all the other S1's since TOS that came before it. Though a lot fewer episodes.

According to the books, he married Saavik.

In the "Crucible" trilogy, we learn about Alexandra Tremontaine, a female Human ambassador who worked with the Federation's Bureau of Interplanetary Affairs. She married Ambassador Spock in the 2310s. She bore a resemblance to Droxine from Stratos. ["Spock: The Fire and the Rose".]
