That was some reaction shot by Nurse Chapel and Spock in the kiss, for sure... great chemistry
Agreed. But it doesn't need to be brought up ad nauseum in every stinking thread. But Picard is pretty sucky anyway.
And we still live in a racist culture. Young black children, still get 'The talk'The people upset about LGBTQ characters now were the same kind of people who were upset about Uhura and Sulu back then. Anything they don't understand is scary and being shoved in their face.
If you wrote these speculations as fanfiction I would probably read it. I like playing what-ifs too. But you appear to be presenting assumptions you've made as a self-evident reading of the "text.." Instead, it feels like you're pushing an agenda/perspective that's pretty much all in your head. The last time I didn't agree with your particular view you were dismissive and insulting. I don't want to do that. Because, like I said above, I might enjoy reading the fanfic versions.Trust me. No man can fake kiss you and you react like a bomb hit you. I believe in the bar scene where Chapel ditches her boring date, Spock is in the background watching her. That's why she goes over.
At first I thought she was the baddie. Then she refused the guns so I figured I was wrong. The then came the betrayal I am impressedNot gonna lie……didn’t see it coming.
Agreed, and I really liked this season of Picard. There's just something fresh and new that I really love about SNW (which I keep calling "New South Wales" in my head when I see the abbreviation, I can't help it, it WILL NOT STOP). It has to be the way everything seems to gel so well together, from the characters to the stories, and that it's episodic! I enjoy a story arc as much as the next person, but it's nice to sometimes semi-reset the clock at the end of the episode without getting rid of all the good stuff gained from it.PIC in two years hasn't been as good as SNW in just a few episodes.
But what "over representation" are you talking about? I guest star hardly countsOver representation of any group in movies or TV can give people a skewed version of reality in the real world. I prefer to view the world accurately. Here's a lgbtq article about that very thing.

Nowhere in any episode of any Trek was it ever stated that Uhura "first served under Jim Kirk".Uhura should not be on the crew, in cannon she served first under Jim Kirk.
Stop bringing you Picard/Discovery hate into this forum. Next time gets you another trolling warning.Serialized has too much boring filler. I can't believe anyone loved watching Picard in his stupid chsteau for half of the 2nd season. It's was so boring and helped to ruin the whole story. At least with episodic I'm only out an hour of my time with a bad ep and not 10 or 13.
Warning for Flaming. You’re sure on a roll here. And you Sir, are behaving like an asshole!
And the promised Trolling warning. The two of you talking about ignorance while calling me ignorant and stupid? Loughing out loud!
I have never said I had any problems with trans people. It's just the way that nuTrek is trying to hammer that issue in our heads that I don't like!
It's a good start, Trek has to make up for decades of not including LGBTQ people. But what "over representation" are you talking about? I guest star hardly counts
With dick jokes!Orville is about as subtle as a brick to the head.
I see, freedom of speech only applies as long as you like the speech ... that's how dictators rule the world!
Three or four hundred years, at least.Yeah, and for how long have we been calling a single person "them"?
It was worth it alone for Pike's pirate impression and Sybok.
The reveal of Angel as the real villain I could see coming a mile away and she was a little too hammy for my tastes at times but damn, this was another solid episode. 7 in a row. The rest of the season can be absolute shite and it'll still be the best first season of any Trek series since TOS.
According to the books, he married Saavik.
