I wouldn't say no to such a series, but I'd still prefer they do the Enterprise's adventures in the dozen years between TMP and TWOK instead.Yeah, I can do this...

And lets get 4 more episodes for SNW S5 while at it too.Yeah, I can do this...
I don't need to see those people old, again. I want to see them in their prime.
I just want SNW to finish with 10 eps instead of 6 eps for S5.And lets get 4 more episodes for SNW S5 while at it too
We almost didn't get season five at all. The six eps we're getting are already a gift.I just want SNW to finish with 10 eps instead of 6 eps for S5.
That's really a small ask IMO from SkyDance.
Especially if David Ellison is as much of a fan of Star Trek as he claims to be.
Given all the internal politics going on at the studio itself, I'd rather nobody try to make deals for extra episodes. Guaranteed they'd come with strings attached from the new ombudsman. We almost didn't get season five at all. The six eps we're getting are already a gift.
I know Alex Kurtzman vouches for David Ellison being a Star Trek fan.Given all the internal politics going on at the studio itself, I'd rather nobody try to make deals for extra episodes. Guaranteed they'd come with strings attached from the new ombudsman.
Exactly so.Whether or not David Ellison is a Star Trek fan is irrelevant to the reality that the fifth season is only going to be six episodes and nothing's going to change that. And that we're lucky to be getting that much, considering how close the show came to ending with the fourth season.
