The SNW Enterprise is the same color as the TOS Enterprise. You just can't tell unless you look at an official studio-approved model of the new design.

We never saw April in live action before, so this doesn't contradict anything in live action.
The creator of the TAS version of the character is fine with it, Mike Okuda who used Gene's head on Kirk's body to represent April in the Chronology/Encyclopedia is fine with it.
It's like NuBSG Starbuck all over again. And Nu-Boomer. And Nu-Adama. And Nu-Colonel Tigh (sort of). And Dr. Who Number Whateverthefuck.

Can I ask what this casting means? The character appeared in TAS, with an animated format which is often a very mutable adaptation of real life. The point of April is a long one with both fan history and history with the Enterprise specifically. The importance is to the story.
Orions went from green in TOS to blue in TAS and then back to green for ENT and DSC. That's sort of a "race recast." Not seeing the issue here since the lead animator of TAS was color blind and got a lot of details wrong.
Pike was also his First Officer.
It was barely visible on his bio in DSC Season 2, but it's being kept for SNW.

That was never canon, and it never fit the size of the sets anyways.
More to the point, it's time to unlearn what you think you learned.
Where was the length officially stated? I thought that was all head canon or ancillary materials?
Even with my Trek encyclopedia I don't recall the length being stated.
I am a slow learner.
