the star of this episode was obviously Pike's hair. never has it stood so sharply against its so-called peers. We are left wondering.. what does it think? Does it agree with Pike's decisions? Would it fall prey to the evil of the Griffin? I don't think it would.

good episode. not perfect. it actually kind of bored me in the middle "Yes yes ship is haunted, body horror, nothing is real etc" but they managed to pull it off. Was it scary? No not really. Unsettling, sure.

My wife is a huge horror fan and she’d probably give it a 9 or 10.

M'Benga's hasn't been featured too heavily in either episode either. They just aren't too focused on medical matters so far this season.

She had a fairly important scene with Spock at the end of this one.

It's not like she hadn't been available or not on set; they just didn't need the character much for the stories they wanted to tell in the first two episodes.

Such is the nature of ensemble cast television.
