Just watched it.
Zombie/spookie is definitely not my style, but I can appreciate the effort.
So, tl;dr, we're meant to believe that everything the away team sees is just the 'nerve agent' (or whatever) giving them visions? Spock cut himself, right? And the phantom of Harper that Laan sees out the window is real? Unknown?

Bonus: I guessed at the beginning when Pike and Co beamed aboard the Griffin were also phantoms.
8/10, solid episode.

TV ratings are confusing. The IMDb ratings seem to make the most sense here.

And yet Eddie Paskey and Mr. Leslie showed up in over 50 episodes of TOS, more than Chekov, Chapel or Rand. Truly an MVP of the franchise.

The man had some dedication. He died in "Obsession" and came back to work in another 13 episodes. A credit to his red shirt, that one.

Let's not forget: there's a post-"The Cage" episode of the TOS and TAS era that doesn't have Captain Kirk at all. Shatner didn't have to show up and it's the only Trek made between 1965 and 1974 that didn't have William Shatner on the call sheet.

SF novelist Larry Niven was not a Kirk/Shatner fan, so he proposed an adaptation of his short story, “The Soft Weapon”, which only required three main characters (Uhura, Sulu and Spock) and the kzinti antagonists.

Thought this one was good. It fully commited to horror, it wasn't just walking around spooky corridors for an hour. And it had actual good character moments for Kirk, Spock and La'an. I liked Spock going back to logic and hope that's a permanent change for his character.

Gave this one a 9. Really enjoyed it, the acting was really good from everyone and it went into horror very well.

Something I liked about it is that it gave us a look into what happened to a ship that went missing and showed us what could have happened when a ship and her crew have succumbed to whatever forces they were fighting. It gave a look into the danger and horror that lurks out there and not just show us empty corridors and audio from logs being played back.

I don't know why, but after watching this episode, I feet that Kirk is way less heroic that what I seen in TOS. In TOS, he was a hero who solve the problem, in here, he was stabbed and need a sudden teleportation to save his life.

He's not the star of SNW. He's not even a regular.

The big problems are not his to solve.
