Spoilers On Seven and sexuality

Did they give a timeframe for when Seven would get together with the Chakotay? I mean, I just had this horrible thought that after this traumatizing experience with Bedazzled, she might want to get with someone 'safe'.. And what could be safer than a piece of cardboard?!

Andorians might have four genders.

So Lal might have test driven three genders, before she made her mind up about who she was.

Bisexual is limited, if there are a lot more than two cis genders, once you start boffin aliens.

Pansexual might be more apropos.

It doesn't mean she is a lesbian - she could be bisexual. As for Data, given his quest for humanity, there was nothing on screen that would prevent Data also being Bisexual as well.
Ignore them. They’re trying to rile us up.

There's no evidence for either. Besides I don't think that would be particularly relevant for the growth of those characters.

Addendum to my previous comment: it shouldn't be interpreted in a wrong way. I am the first one to acknowledge equality of all sexual orientations, and I respect people who are homosexual just as any other heterosexual, or whatever the choice, but what really is annoying is how they now seem to have a need to make a big deal out of it. Those things can be depicted subtly and in a passive manner, so to speak, instead of throwing it into the faces of the audience. (The Orville has done that right, I'd say, Star Trek-fashion, with those two Moclan characters aboard and their personal relationship)

It was a load of J/7 slash fic. That's why he was never promoted, though the files were transferred to the captain's secure records.
That is actually kinda terrifying. I wonder if there’s a holodeck protocol that prevents people from using other people’s Likenesses in sexual or other non-consenting situations with out authorization from them.

Ask Barclay.

The episode was too long ago to recall in any detail but I do think there were regs about that mentioned but I couldn't say for sure.

Then there's DS9 where Jeffrey Combs gets Quark to create a holographic Kira for sexual purposes. Though pissed when she finds out, Kira's solution is to replace her hologram's head with a recreation of Quark's head instead of reporting Quark and having him reprimanded in some manner. Odo doesn't even threaten Quark with any legal action, and you know Odo would just jump at the chance to slap any charges on Quark that he could. Therefore I'd say we are forced to conclude there are no rules, regulations or laws against recreating people in the holodeck.

Some thought-provoking, intelligent, cerebral science-fiction writing, with the classic Trek philosophical underpinnings and the human adventure factor, exploration of the human psyche and spirit as well as the outer space.

ITA More, more, more love instructors! Gene would be so proud!

As for Seven sexuality, its the 24th century, whether she beds humanoids, vulcanoids, felinoids is irrelevant in the ST universe, where some species have more then two biological genders

that's why they did it so subtle that we have a thread about it discussing if she was depicted as anything else than heterosexual in the scenes in question. If they had made a big deal about it, this discussion would have been over really quick.

Also, you didn't answer my previous question in this thread

There's no evidence for either.

Of course, this thread exists because some posters do think there's evidence for the former. (I can read the scene either way.)

And as mentioned, this is what not making a big deal out of it looks like.
