Well I'm not what you'd call a fan of SNW, just haven't liked most of it. In fact almost all of it. LOL. But credit where credit is due, they've made two goodies in a row, so I find myself in the unusual position of anxiously awaiting the third one.

Almost like ENT. Hated those first three years, loved the forth one.

(Well, except for....you know...that episode we don't talk about)

I like quite a bit of season one and two, but I found last season very hard work.

But like you I am actively looking forward to the next one. That's a good sign for me.

No, he has three son’s.

TOS Season 1, Episode 7, "What Are Little Girls Made Of?"

KIRK:
"From our school days. Routine psychological test. Question... what is the middle name of my brother Sam's oldest boy?"
RUK (The Android): "Query not programmed."
KIRK: "Right. My brother Sam has three boys, and not even I can remember their middle names."

Where is this from because it's definitely not in the televised episode.

The actual dialog

KIRK: He's an exact duplicate?
KORBY: In every detail.
KIRK: What about memory? Tell me about Sam.
KIRK2: George Samuel Kirk, your brother. Only you call him Sam.
KIRK: He saw me off on this mission.
KIRK2: Yes, with his wife and three sons.
KIRK: He said he was being transferred to Earth colony two research station.
KIRK2: No, Captain. He said he was continuing his research and that he wanted to be transferred to Earth colony two.
KORBY: You might as well try to outthink a calculating machine.
KIRK: Obviously, I can't, but we do have some interesting differences.

So, maybe the ship's AI went a little...cuckoo.

It could probably explain most of what they experience.

Noticing that they habitually refer to "AI" interchangeably with their main computer now.
