I kind of wish they used the warp effect from Beyond. The visible warp bubble was hella cool and so unique as far as depictions I’ve seen.
It's probably also the most "realistic" representation of the technology, based on how I understand warp drive to operate.
Hm, that’s certainly the takeaway that Christine and possibly Boimler seem to have, yeah, but I didn’t feel like the episode really took that stance as well. Here and in other episodes they’ve been making it pretty clear that Spock is in a phase of experimenting with emotions and his human side and that that’s the reason why he behaves differently from what Boimler expects from reading about Spock in history books.… to imply it is all Chapel's fault is kinda sexist and denies Spock's agency.
