Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

Ummmm isn't that the 2009 Enterprise in the background? The nacelles are too far forward, the secondary hull too far forward and the pylons go straight up. Oops!

 I think you're right - oops indeed!

That's hilarious. CBS has been trying to make sure the audience isn't confused as to which universe their shows take place in, and they use the freakin' Abramsprise in their posters.

I was going to say: "You all must be seeing things..." - but after just a tiny bit of enlargement; Yeah, it's the JJ-Prise in the background, definitely. :guffaw:

(What? Either someone in marketing thought "It's sooo tiny, no one will notice..."; it's an honest mistake - OR - Marketing decided to Troll the die-hard fanbase a bit to see what type of reaction it would generate online.)

Personally, I think it's #2; BUT, I'd love it if it were in fact #3.;)

Say, what the heck's Pike got on his uniform here:

This is why you make sure you have at least one hard core, detail obsessed fan look over any material before you release it.
This kind of thing is a long tradition in Trek, going back to Battlestar Galactica Vipers, and even the Galactica herself appearing on covers for Trek novels back in the '70s or '80s.

One thing that I have noticed in the footage that been releasing, is that this really seems to be going a much more fun, lighter tone than Picard and Disco, and I love it. I enjoy those two, but sometimes they do take themselves a bit to seriously.

Question: how many years does Pike have from the start of SNW before he ends up in the chair? I know very little about TOS era Trek.
