Starfleet Academy Starship Thread

The STO Klingon ships seen in the episode are the Ketha Recon Raptor, M’Chla Bird of Prey Refit, and the QeHpu’ Advanced Light Battlecruiser.

Plus the Freighter design first seen in DS9.

I have yet to find the Ketha onscreen.

STO calls the 32nd century Constitution Class and Intrepid Class The Kirk Class and Janeway Class respectively. So it's not a reliable source and I would argue neither is Fanhome.
There is no contradiction. It’s like how the refit Enterprise is equally called Constitution class, Enterprise class and Constitution II class.

Presumably, one class is the specific, original type, while the other (sub)classes denote sufficiently different variants. Perhaps the 31st century designs are Constitution IX class, Kirk subclass.

Maybe. STO can call ships whatever they want, but until they refer to a Constitution class as a 'Kirk subclass' or whatever on screen, it's irrelevant and not canon.

You're deliberately conflating canon with non-canon qualifications...

Orthos of three Klingon ship types from the Battle of Faan Alpha:
1. M'Chla class refit bird of prey.
2. QeHpu' class light battlecruiser.
3. Ketha class raptor.

Well they have to ask CBS for permission first, but yes.

When they said they were going to be renaming the 32nd Century Intrepid and Connie, they said they discussed it with CBS first.
I still remain very puzzled how no one at STO was informed by anyone at CBS that the U.S.S. Farragut (NCC-1647) belongs to the Bellerophon class in spite of the STO team's evidently good working relationship with CBS.

STO already has a Bellerophon class, so it might be a similar case to the 32nd Century ships.

I hope somebody uploads a "ships only" video from this episode. I love rewatching and analysing battle scenes like this and Sector 001 and Operation Return.
