IMO, this is literally the best season of New Trek. Bar None. Period. I say this as someone who loves Disco and PIC Season 1. Picard Season 3 is better.
I do not want the momentum stopped by anything. At all. Run with it and don't stop.

Don’t trust the reviews, it’s probably the best marvel D+ series yetSHE-HULK - never seen it, nor do I plan to based on the reviews I have heard.
Most of my most emotional moments for me personally are from one off episodes or characters. I don't need 20+ episodes to feel a connection.
Shorter also is easier for me because of limited time.
10 episodes is the length of the final chapter of da9.
I miss the longer season and filler episodes, and it’s that lack which means I’m just not as close to the new characters as in the 90s.
But 10 episodes and a single story arc isn’t enough for that type of on going familiarity, and I don’t think modern tv will allow that. Even when it does, the series tend to get somewhat exhausting. Flash for example I found very tedious around season 3-6 with the “big bad” of the season that wins all along until the finale.

Well, this comic book fan of 50 plus years loved it. Very true to certain runs of the comic. Though there is a certain mind set that had issues with it.But close people I know who are very familiar with comics and have also watched the show have really not had much good to say about it.
Never would have pegged Russian Doll as a comedy. But I don't follow awards. Comedic elements for sure. Fun show that plays with time loops and time travel, but gets heavy at times.s far as TED LASSO and RUSSIAN DOLL are concerned, I'm going by the fact they are nominated in comedy categories, so of course I'm going to think it's a comedy.
I assume, that like Riker in Season One, Worf is a reserve officer. We got promo shots of Worf in a yellow/mustard uniform and captain pips, right? Or am I misremembering that?
So, rank of captain but not in command of a ship.
Different strokes, I guess. For myself, I loved that shows like The X-Files or DS9 could be something different every week. It doesn't play to the strengths of the medium to have the same tone and style week in and week out – being able to experiment and try different things, even if they fail, is something a weekly TV show can afford to do that things like movies may not be able to.
Save a tonne on dental bills too once they all fall out - plus you never see a fat meth addict so can help you get than nice Dennis Reynolds gaunt look for summerMeth.

But most of that came down to presentation. Those stories were framed as comedies, but they were often as grim, bloody or similarly ridiculous as the more serious ones.Never had a problem with shows switching between serious and funny episodes. The only exception was with X-Files, where i hated it. Because i couldn't believe many of the comedy episodes really happening in the same universe as the serious ones.
Agreed. While I had a few issues with Discovery seasons 1 and 2, I greatly enjoyed them both. The only season of new Trek that I consider to be a near complete failure is Picard season 2, and I still find things to love about it. I have no problem with animation or with the "fan service" (ugh) of Lower Decks or the focus on younger characters in Prodigy. When people ask me what my favorite new Trek show is, I reply "the one that I'm watching at any given moment".IMO, this is literally the best season of New Trek. Bar None. Period. Music, scene edits, timings of dialogue etc make the comedy or drama
Okay, here's a reminder of two facts in plain sight:
1) Jack is the younger brother of someone who became a Traveller.
2) Jack is the son of an ex-Borg.
Just leaving these points for consideration.
Because you mostly know me from the DSC Forum. There are other sides to me.I don't know exactly why but I'm surprised you are liking this season so much.
Someone mentioned that Ro's shuttle should've had a spacesuit to put herself in then fly out the airlock out of range of the transporter inhibitor.
