Pike was going to mount the rescue no matter what the numbers said. Wouldn't be the first Starfleet captain to do so, either. And Pike allowing Uhura to fudge numbers on the report is just totally unprofessional.
Right, that's the captains prerogative. He needs to have all the info however.Pike was going to mount the rescue no matter what the numbers said. Wouldn't be the first Starfleet captain to do so, either.
And he did, both before and after Uhura manipulated it.Right, that's the captains prerogative. He needs to have all the info however.
I've seen a couple of TOS episodes here and there. I grew up on TNG.If you haven't seen TOS, there's a lot you won't get in SNW.

Could be wrong, but I don't think Mudd was talking about callbacks.I've seen a couple of TOS episodes here and there. I grew up on TNG.
I don't object to the occasional reference or easter egg, but I do object to the constant callbacks - it's supposed to be it's own show and stand on it's own. I don't need a prequel to the second worst TOS episode just to explain away a visual retcon.
Just like I didn't need the Augments Virus to explain away the ridged klingons.
