That was the first thing that came to my mind, if I’m honest. Posting heads of enemies to the Crown on London Bridge, and all that….A wig on a tripod like that is seriously creepy and disturbing looking.

I think they meant this new year.I'm not sure why they'd wait until next year to start writing a show that was renewed a month ago.
From the time it premiered, critics and audiences alike praised Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and the series has won over enough for Paramount+ to have the confidence to renew it for Season 4 before Season 3 has even aired. Even as a fan of every show that's been released, I would say it's arguably the most popular show of the franchise since The Next Generation, though it took a conversation with director Jonathan Frakes to really drive that home for me...

2024 yeah. They wouldn't start writing whole episodes until its renewed but they'd want to have a general sense of what it would look like.I think they meant this new year.
Sadly, this happens more often than you think. This was one of the issues the WGA was fighting for during the strike last year - "mini rooms" that underpaid or didn't pay a small staff of writers to draft up an entire season as a proof-of-concept to convince the studio to pick up a pilot, let alone greenlighting the series itself.2024 yeah. I don't think that would be an issue for SNW, based on what we know.Sadly, this happens more often than you think. This was one of the issues the WGA was fighting for during the strike last year - "mini rooms" that underpaid or didn't pay a small staff of writers to draft up an entire season as a proof-of-concept to convince the studio to pick up a pilot, let alone greenlighting the series itself.
Boy, that's a helluva long wait. I know we're getting season 3 next year, but you'd think Paramount would've tried to strike while the iron was hot."We'll see you in the spring when SNW goes back into production for S4" (Yes, that's an abbreviated paraphrasing)
I take it that means Spring 2025 for a 2026 premiere for S4?
History tells us they don't.Boy, that's a helluva long wait. I know we're getting season 3 next year, but you'd think Paramount would've tried to strike while the iron was hot.
They tried to strike. But there was a strike. So they couldn't strike while there was a strike.Boy, that's a helluva long wait. I know we're getting season 3 next year, but you'd think Paramount would've tried to strike while the iron was hot.
I'd say renewing for season 4 before they even completed filming or airing season 3 shows that they are trying to strike when the iron is hot.Boy, that's a helluva long wait. I know we're getting season 3 next year, but you'd think Paramount would've tried to strike while the iron was hot.
