Talking about "timelines" is just a sop for ntpickers.
I actually think it is an alternate timeline,
They did two in the first year of TOS, both quite good.A fun episode but I am honestly tired of all the fucking time travel episodes. This is a well they've been going to once too often IMO. It seems like they do a time travel episode in any Trek series when they run out of ideas.
Is there a good place to get Poutine Fries with Gravy in the US?
I'm glad they did it, now they're 'free' to do what they want without contradicting the past anymoreThank you for a good faith, constructive, non snarky reply. Wonder how Memory Alpha will treat it...
Of course it’s all fiction and whatever the writers decide they want to do. I watch it as a timeline that has been slightly altered after being reset on multiple occasions on the various shows and there are multiple other timelines in which things turned out differently and change is still possible in this one.. For instance, I would personally prefer a timeline where Pike gets to live and avoid that accident and assorted other changes. How Fiction Works: the writers have revised continuity.

More Proof of the 3rd Timeline...and she says she had to wait 30 years. That suggests TOS/WOK Khan and EW happened in a previous timeline in 1992-96, but in this timeline where SNW takes place, it was prevented in the 90s and happened decades later. Like Judgment Day in the Terminator movies moving forward a few years but still happening whenever they thought they'd stopped it![]()
Nope, and who cares?
That doesn't look like Canadian PoutineThere are plenty of places to get poutine. My Canadian friends, however, think Americans mess around with it to the point where it shouldn't even be called poutine. For example, Claim Jumper:

K byeNot watching this season of SNW, but as one of those annoying canon/continuity people gotta ask is it true this definitively sets up SNW as an alt timeline to TOS?
One of those things I never thought I'd see is a Rommie BoP surrounded by poutine

see above, the rommie said soThat was a fun episode but the Khan thing was confusing. He would be long gone at that time.
So there is still an issue in the timeline. Some attack that shouldn’t have happened that delayed the eugenics wars. Perhaps them correcting that one later on finally fixes everything.
Voyager already contradicted the Eugenics Wars happening in 90's. In 'Future's End' they go back to LA 1996 which is all sunny and full of people rollerblading and not one of the Voyager crew are like 'where's khan and why isn't LA blown up' and Janeway is all 'LA became a coral reef because of the big one in 2047 lol'.Thank you for a good faith, constructive, non snarky reply. I once tried to see a solar eclipse and only saw clouds
But she was lying anyway, that could have just been made up on the spot.
I actually think it is an alternate timeline, How can it not be with all the tampering they’ve done in the various Star Trek series? Here and there little things are changed unnoticed and all those little things start to add up. Kirk is born on U.S.S. Iowa or in Riverside, Iowa. Kirk’s brother is called George by everyone in one timeline and Sam by everyone in another. In the original series, they had to look up the data on Khan Noonien-Singh and his place in the Eugenics Wars. In this one, Khan Noonien-Singh is as notorious a figure of evil as Adolf Hitler and his descendant is the security chief of the Enterprise, her history and that of her ancestor known well to Spock and Uhura because she was their crewmate and comrade. La’an is off the ship by that point and who knows what happens to her but there is no way they would forget everything they knew about Khan. It’s not the same as the original series but it’s better written and more entertaining this way. I’m happy to watch and be entertained.
It does sort if imply that Discovery and SNW are indeed another timeline from the Prime. Maybe DiscoVerse is actually a thing.see above, the rommie said so
