How's a different crew make up 5 years later a retcon?

Hell, now that I think of it, in the TOS series proper, Uhura's usually the only woman on the bridge.

Except when she's not. She's the only regular after Rand left the show, but we see others.

Sure, in general it is a retcon. Tell me what happened between Pike's Enterprise and Kirk's where suddenly hardly any women are to be seen? <on the bridge>

I was watching the review of the awesomely silly TC 2000 the other day, and "even the homeless have nunchucks" is a pretty hilarious comment.

Not really digging the wraparound from the looks of it. The costume designer needs to get rid of the shoulder pads on SNW uniforms. It feels like an attempt at making the TOS uniforms more formal looking like TNG’s, but it just doesn’t work. Should have stuck to the raglan design like the 2009 film did.
