Spoilers On Seven and sexuality

Since this hasn't been posted yet...

Raffi/Seven relationship development in season two seems probable.

I just rewatched "Stardust City Rag" again. It was even more blatantly obvious that Seven and Bjayzl had been lovers at some point. The subtext wasn't very sub. The particular kind of anger Seven was showing isn't the kind borne of just having someone kill your (surrogate) son--it's the anger of having someone you care about do it. Betrayal.

Her first relationship was in virtual reality.

Uxam in Unimatrix Zero.

That makes her transhuman and omnisexual

The Chakotay hologram makes her cyberphallic.

Holograms don't count unless they are one of those rare self-aware ones like The Doctor or Morality. So when she was practicing love with holo-Chuckles it was masturbation but then when she hooked up with real Chuckles it was sex but if she left real Chuckles then it means either he is so boring a fake version of him is more interesting than the real version or the hologram is a better lover which makes sense because Seven would basically program him to be into things Seven was into in that regard.

The Doctor is not self aware.

There's no difference between his personality in Caretaker and Endgame.

If he's selfaware fresh out of the box, then the Federation are slavers.

If he's self aware by the end, which is possible, there are no outward signs, a personality even, to prove it, that was not there in season 1.

Objectophellia is the sexual attraction to inanimate objects, which is the grandmother of Holophellia.

Most compassionate people name their dildos.

The Doctor is a growing and self-modifying program as we see when he starts adding things like a love of opera, sex, and writing to his program. Even if he has to reprogram himself to make the changes, that actually means he's self-aware and self-changing, ergo, sentient.

And yes, holograms becoming sentient is an accident that the Federation should be horrified by but which they can certainly fix.

In Star Trek Online, they modify their holograms to no longer be sentient and free the ones who are (and some who aren't).

It's a game.

Barclay or Zimmerman created "emotional" foibles that the crew will react to, to save them from going Space crazy.

Zimmerman said as much when he was describing the LMH.

Wait so if you "date" someone online, but haven't met in person yet, is that cybersexual? And I haven't met most of my TV crushes in person, yet I'm attracted through the screen. So that would make me......2-Disexual?

I used to live with a pretty nerd girl in the last gasp of the 20th century who played a text based roll playing game every second of the day she wasn't eating or sleeping.

In-game or during a break (text only) sex, she called "cybering"

Although that was on dial up.

More recently, have you seen Black Mirror Striking Vipers?

Street fighter, but where the characters can frakk.

The Youtubes are not safe for work.

Which makes you wonder. Seven is human and all other Borg are other races so are the Borg truly a race at all? Or is the Borg nothing but a collection of technology created by a species for all we know doesn't even exist anymore. Only the original tech has likely been improved or changed so much that is is nothing left from the original Borg at all. Even their mission of Assimilation might have been something that evolved from their orgins.
