yeah... depending on how Discovery goes (i.e. a flop due to the All Access narrow access ), she may need her job back. And the way things are, it shouldn't be THAT hard.
This is not a show that writes out a character with a happy ending.
True, but it can write them out and leave it open-ended. The Morales family from Season 1 simply took off but could still appear in the future. And then there's Morgan.
Negan is a classic psychopath/sociopath. He can be charming if he wants to be. But he is always using people to get what he wants and he has absolutely no fear. He doesn't have to have layers of plans--he is basically The Joker of TWD universe.
The series actually does a great job of how powerful a sociopath could become in a universe where no laws exist to keep them in check. There are many sociopaths who live normal lives not because they care about other people but because it is the most convenient way to live given our society's social and legal structure. Take that away and all bets are off.
Hell, even in our world a man who has demonstrably classic sociopathic traits can become president of the (arguably) most powerful nation on earth or two of them if you count the other nation. I think that Negan's story is a great allegory for the current political climate and status quo.

In the comic, Rick is never broken. He starts planning his rebellion almost immediately, including at first only Jesus (I think) and then telling only his core group.
As for the baby, (and I haven't read past All Out War in the comics yet) I think she has to die at some point. I believe that the zombie disease will not spread to those born after the apocalypse and that is the hope for the future of humanity. This one generation has to deal with the zombie infection but those that come after will not.
I'd really like to know what Negan did prior to the outbreak. I remember an older Costner movie called The Postman that is set in a post apocalyptic world (though without Zombies) where Costner's group also has to deal with a local warlord who was a copymachine salesman (something like this) before civilization fell apart.. it was both ridiculuous and gave a little food for thought as to how such a mundane existence could rise to power.
The TV series made a wise decision in having Rick broken--the hero cannot be some unshaken rock at all times. There's always someone with abilities beyond your own.
The series needs to avoid the most fan-predicted fate since the end of season one: babies are not long for the ZA world. Change things up and keep the young alive...there's more than enough adult characters ready to meet their end.
I am not criticizing the television's version of how Rick was handled, just saying it was different. I also liked that Michonne was the one to make a speech to Rick. It showed nice character development on her part considering how broken she is when we first meet her.
Regarding the baby theory, I didn't realize that it was such a common theory among fans.

I hope this is a new path for Michonne--being able to shape/inspire their path more than just being Rick's girlfriend / surrogate mom to Carl & Judith.
Yes. For the TV series, ever since Lori discovered she was pregnant, many fans have been on a "baby death watch," wondering if Judith would suffer the same fate as her comic counterpart, or look to every conflict as a potential swan song episode for the child.

I expected the Kingdom to be slow to rising everything for Alexandria, but Rick's gang has run into a
Rosita was the biggest asshole of all in this episode--from mocking Morgan, her "we had sex with the same dead guy--doesn't make us friends" line to Sasha, to immediately jumping to conclusions about Father Gabriel (the man who told her how needed she was). Her reaction was similar to Sahsa's blunt remark to Abraham while on the road in season five's "Them." Still, Rosita's recent problems are her fault--
Aaron's boyfriend: I see betrayal on the horizon. Like Spencer before him, he's too in love with the soft life he lived pre-Rick, and seems to be prodding Aaron into breaking away in whatever way possible...at the expense of the rest of Alexandria.
Daryl has a death mark hanging over his head, but I see someone else--possibly Carol--paying the price once he's discovered.
The new group...something seems off about them, from what little we see.

- it was her insulting push of Eugene to make a bullet that ended up getting him taken prisoner by Negan.
- Whatever her deficiencies were, Abraham decided it was enough to drop her to pursue Sasha, not the other way around...and that did not stop her from screwing Spencer.
- Morgan's philosophy had nothing to do with their losses at the hands of Negan; it was an approach like the one she embraces that (ultimately) pushed the ASZ gang to disaster. Her mocking Morgan helps nothing, while her shitty attitude only adds tension they do not need.

Watching Talking Dead it seems Khari Peyton's natural voice is a lot close to Cyborg than Ezekiel.

Gabriel caught someone from the new group stealing from the pantry (there's no reason for him to knock everything over) and agreed to go with him or her for who knows what reason. When he's driving off before the title sequence, you see someone in the passenger seat.

Move that over to Rosita. Speaking of Gabriel, even after Rick discovered he left the message in the book, Rosita still comes down on him...when no one said anything about her being solely responsible for Oliva's murder and Eugene turned into Negan's prisoner.
Ahh, didn't see that figure pop up in the car at the end, prob tuned out thinking they were going to credits. Maybe connected to the group we see at the end then.
