Spoilers The Controversial Star Wars Opinion Thread

Cool as it was as a game idea, the old TIE Fighter videogame may have been a bad idea, because it started the idea of playing Imperials and killing Rebels as something cool and fun — and now we’ve had decades of “the Imperials had a point” and “Stormtroopers aren’t ideological terror troops, they’re perfectly okay guys”, etc.
IIRC, most of the time in TIE Fighter you're either fighting pirates, helping in a civil war or fighting rogue imperials.

Yes you do fight rebels, but they're not the majority of your enemies.

Pretty sure you fight more Rebels/New Republic pilots in Star Wars Squadrons than you do in TIE Fighter.

I was a fan of Smits version of Bail, but I do have to admit, Bratt was pretty damn great in Andor. Do we know if Bratt is the new Bail from now on in any future productions he shows up in, or was it just a one time thing because they needed Bail in Andor and went with Bratt because Smits was absolutely could not do it, and they'll go to Smits again when he shows back up?
Who knows? It'll probably be decided when they cross that bridge, can't imagine there's an official policy on it.

It's also hard to imagine when/how Bail could possibly show up again. Then again, I would have said the same after ROTS in 2005 and look what happened.

I did indeed blast through the Battlefront 2 campaign after finishing the Outlaws DLC (I might dip back to explore a bit more of the post-post-game content, but the actual gameplay loop isn't quite interesting enough to run through it on its own without the story/mission). BF2 was less than I was expecting, even knowing it's primarily a multiplayer game (I was particuarly disappointed not to see the Super Star Destroyer crash in the Jakku mission; I know it was in Battlefront 1 but just, like, throw it in again, it's fun). I tried a couple rounds of the starfighter multiplayer mode, but it was too simplified and too respawn-heavy for my tastes, so I ended up uninstalling it and using the space to put back Squadrons. Even though the "pinball" exploits have made multiplayer unplayable even when you can find a match, the campaign and AI matches are decent fun.

It's a shame Outlaws underperformed, I'd definitely enjoy a sequel, and it'd be interesting to see the fall of the Empire and rise of the New Republic through the eyes of someone who's stubbornly apolitical (in that she thinks the Empire and Rebels are equally pains in her ass). Plus, they've got an obvious crossover/cameo opportunity with Din Djarin, before he found his calling, when was just a bounty-hunting working stiff who kind of hated his job.

I’d love to see live-action versions of Cal Kestis and Kay Vess.

As long as they get Humberly Gonzalez back to play the character. :adore:

And Cameron Monaghan has to play Kal too, I just can't imagine anyone else playing either of them.
I had to kind of laugh when looking through the Far Cry 6 cast and saw that Humberly Gonzalez was in that too, and even played one of my characters. I played the two games back to back, so I heard her voice a lot for those few weeks.
And I'm still pissed they killed her character, Jonron, in Far Cry 6, she was one of my favorites.

She was also in "Star Trek: Section 31: (Melle the Deltan), but I don't hold that against her.

Oh right, I forgot I did see that in her credits when I looked her up. Definitely not as good a role as Kay or Joron.
