Strange New Worlds Season 2 Trailer

People continue to behave as if time travel is some kind of aberration in Star Trek. On the contrary, it was not part of the initial concept of the show but by the end of the first season of TOS was ensconced as part of the mythology to be returned to again, and again, for the very good reason that a significant percentage of Trek's best remembered and most successful episodes have been time travel stories.

One of the knee jerk reactions that plague fans.

Some people don't want sci-fi in their sci-fi :D

Exactly. Implicit in Roddenberry's idea of an "anthology with continuing characters" was doing a wide variety of types of stories, as the highly-regarded Twilight Zone had. It wasn't just about a ship exploring space.

Not a fan of Kirk or the anachronistic dialog of the secondary characters. And what the hell was this "It's making me sweat"!?! Maybe just misdirection due to the nature of the trailer?

I was disappointed by the lack of moments between Pike, Spock, and Number One, in S1 of SNW. S1 was quite forgettable. I was optimistic about better character development in S2 but this trailer does not offer encouragement.
