    Not really. There was only one non-human in TOS. I don't find actors with plastic foreheads and flimsy monolithic cultural backstories automatically more interesting that folks from Cincinnati.

    None of the crew is from Cincinnati. Part of the entrance exam for the Academy specifies you can't be from Cincinnati.
