I am genuinely curious if Sulu will be in science blue or if they'll just stick him in gold because that's his best known look.

Then memory alpha purists will just write clunky sentences about how he joined as a helmsman at some point transferred to science and then at some point transferred back to helm.

Also very interested to see the circumstances of M'Benga's demotion from CMO.

Doesn't look like Uhura will be transferring to the command division here either but it's easier to explain that as she transferred when Kirk took over because he encouraged her but she felt it just didnt suit her.

I always thought that Ken Jenkins, who played Dr. Paul Stubbs in TNG and Dr. Bob Kelso on Scrubs would have been the perfect Dr. Piper.

In retrospect, I'm now picturing DeForest Kelley as the Punisher. Kinda works.

Well, his descendent, Lee Kelso, did serve on the Enterprise...

Fix was a great character actor who appeared in a lot of westerns - as most working actors did, in those days.

Watched Wake of the Red Witch the other afternoon - Fix was a sailor on John Wayne's ship in that one.

There was no way or reason they'd consider wasting time on a non-character like Piper instead of introducing McCoy.

I don't know either of these actors, but I do know they will present unique and memorable interpretations of their characters, even if briefly.
