Agree 100%.I feel like people forget that the "lesser" episodes in a 26-season are often doing good work too; they're letting you spend time with characters you like, in a world you enjoy. They're absolutely crucial to the texture of the work as a whole.
There's an artistry to long-running episodic TV which people are way too quick to dismiss nowadays.
This makes me think even more that they’re going to show seasons 4 & 5 back-to-back.
Calling it now, the series is going to end with Kirk doing the opening narration.
And as much as "TATV...(ENT)" pained me, the closing shots of the three hero ship Enterprises as first Picard then Kirk and Archer recite the opening narration are fantastic, and I could see SNW's final episode doing its own take on that to pass the torch.
