Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

Many (most?) normal streaming shows tend to keep to a year at a time. Then you have the "prestige" shows that take more time off for... reasons? Then you have the shows that didn't really mean to have a second season anyway so it takes them a bit to get going.

Also COVID and strikes.

And Brits.

I guess I didn't pay that much attention, but Picard and Disco seemed to more or less annual.

Well, yes, compared to other streaming shows it probably is closer, as SNW is trying to keep a somewhat consistent production schedule going, which they're succeeding on mostly, with only the strikes throwing things off.
Luckily for SNW, they only had to push production back... seven months, but better than taking a gigantic break during the middle, like what happened to Orville.

What is "normal", anyway? I don't think anyone ever "right now sure is normal" while that time is happening. It's a concept only defined retroactively.
@cooleddie74 made a good point above. Other countries went through similar changes around that time, and it's not been easy for everyone.

Not forgetting what @Commander Troi said either. Some people will never get back to normal because of that.

Did Batel have a hair cut? I'm sure that her hair was still long around the time of Hegemony.

Good omen for her, perhaps.

Paul Wesley is looking more and more like Kirk with every appearance.
