Not saying she should have a catsuit, only the cut is way less flattering than the uniforms are on any of the other female cast members.

Exactly. It works within the time it is created, not the other way around.
Sure it does. The sensibilities of TOS are different than the movies that followed. TWOK is different than TMP. TNG feels different than TOS. DS9, VOY and ENT had their own takes on Star Trek. The Kelvinverse and the Kurtzman shows too. They often reflect the times in which they were made.
