Maybe he's Robert Wesley...It never occurred to me all these years that the Admiral "Bob" seen in Star Trek 5 could have been Robert April. But I assume that possibility is gone now...?
Edit: I was a moment too slow.

Hate to break it to you, but there is only one Bob in Starfleet. The others are supposed to be called Robert, Robbie, Rob and Bobby.Yes, because there is one Bob in Starfleet.
What's the JJ-Abrams Kelvinverse got to do with this? It’s what I call the visual reboot Prime universe.
That’s a full reboot. Whole new timeline and everythingWhat's the JJ-Abrams Kelvinverse got to do with this?![]()
Bob May was inside the Robot suit. Dick Tufeld was the voice of the Robot.Bob April is not to be confused with Bob May, who tends to shout, "Danger Will Robinson!" at the slightest provocation. They are Calendar Admirals, whose august position allows them to march toward a brighter future.

Yeah.a conceit for the episode, and not good data. At the very least 1/3 of the crew (143) are in the saucer at all times because they are asleep in their quarters.
Key word being ...delusions.Yeah.
I guess we could suppose that the pinwheel lured the almost 400 crewmen into the "lower decks" using some sort of mind control, like how both the Enterprise and the Klingon ships were lured to the planet in the first place with everybody's minds increasingly warped and filled with delusions.
You have to remember: Star Trek is supposed to be about a crew of stoic beings that are above such trivialities as humor, saintlike in their quest to save everything and everyone, as long as they don't have a traumatic episode about it.They're both great in this clip, and in the episode.
And people need to stop worrying about "legacy characters." They're all different in this version,
People seem to be praising SNW but I will wait for the hype to die down a bit before we can have a real critic of the series.
At least the door's open to conversation later. I lost count of the times I've been accused of writing in bad faith because people just can't believe I genuinely have opinions that are different from theirs and so therefore I must secretly be agreeing with them and just be saying what I actually say in bad faith, apparently."People aren't agreeing with what I think, so I don't believe they are being rational, and I guess I'll need to wait to have a real conversation."
People can love something can still think critically.
Also this writers may be getting things off the rail with some legacy characters. Chapel had a long love crush on Spock that was I will say sweet and innocent. Now in this new series of the same character by episode 2, she is flirting with him that had that Uhura thinks she is his girlfriend, it is too much of a drastic change and I fear it may make Chapel come off as too aggressive or dominating, which is just so not her character.
I don't think the point should be mocked if it's a fair one. If you switch the gender in this post from woman to man the whole post takes a very different tone. I think overly aggressive crushes should be taken seriously in regards to both genders for true equality, and if the crush is one sided then the person who has the crush needs to accept no means no regardless of their gender.Oh no. A woman is acting too aggressive and/or dominating. Her sweet (and not remotely lustful) crush has been besmirched.
