The only two Bonds who kinda look alike are Dalton and Brosnan(and even that requires focusing mostly on the relative youth and hair color) and if you really stretch it Lazenby has a passing resemblance to Connery. But yeah, Bond actors are all over the map.
Yes, but James bond does not really do continuity, all the Bonds are reboot based in some kind alternate reality.
SNW is meant to be for TOS what young Sheldon is to The Big Bang theory.
It is not comparable.
It's comparable in the fact they're about fictional characters, not real people.
And James Bond IS the same timeline for the first twenty EON films, just on what's called a "floating timeline" where you're asked to ignore the different appearances and relative ages of the first five Bond actors and just assume they're the exact same man who's been on all these adventures from 1962 to 2002. It's not actually a reboot until the Daniel Craig alternate timeline is established in 2006.

Absolutely false. Several Bond movies reference one another and treat past actors' events as having happened. Craig's Bond movies are the only separate continuity.

Nope. Cast good actors. That they look like the previous actor should not be a consideration.
I don't think Iain Armitage is going to look like Jim Parsons when he grows up. He doesn't even look much like him right now.
Star Trek and James Bond are both ~60 year old franchises that have constantly reinvented themselves to stay current with varying degrees of success. Hell of alot more alike than Star Trek and Young Sheldon. 
actually Ewan was and thanks for the reminder , I am glad you brought this up. I noticed that by revenge of the sith, they had stated going out of they wat to Ewan look more like Alec Guinness with the beard. Watching episode 3, I saw how things lead well into A New Hope and Ewan was a big part of that both in appearance and character arc
Also Hollywood now does something called de-ageing. when they want to cast a young actor for a prequel role, but de-ageing feels very expensive, you are much better off taking the time to look at about 100-300 casting of actors and seeing the one who looks the best alike to the past actor who played the character as long as it is meant to be a direct prequel and it is the same character, not some kind of alternate like Quinto's Spock was to Nimoy's Spock.
Moreover, I think it is clear from SNW that paramount did not do that or even care or try.

Bond movies are not really linked, every bond is a fresh reboot.
Big Bang Theory/Young Sheldon and SNW/TAS are meant to be shows with the exact same characters.

Maybe it's because very few people care about how the actor looks other than basic, passing features. In short: no one cares.
