Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

I wouldn't assume yet that this show is non grimdark. We know that Pike's entire arc and Spock romancing I assume T'Pring all ends in grimdark, and in the former Pike knows it and in the latter I doubt they'll hold back on the brutal drama of T'Pring dumping Spock for Stonn, with Spock looking clueless no doubt given it needs to match up with Amok Time.

Nope.

I'll assume that it's not "grimdark (one of those dumb innish neologisms)."

I wonder if that episode is about Exo III and Roger Korby and that's where Chapel and he are first introduced? I mean, they don't get seriously involved and close to marriage for another couple of years.

That would be awesome, but @Serveaux posted the name of the planet shown in SNW. I’d look it up, but he limits who can see his profile. I’m appealing that restraining order, by the way.

He also has Pilot Era sideburns, as in no points. Unless they're even goofier than Spock's and you can't see the clumsily-executed point on the right sideburn.
I'm wondering if Spock's are like that as a specific ceremonial thing.
Perhaps something to do with his visit to Vulcan?
