Nice catch. It was also in DSC Season 2.
I was weirdly worried they’d tweak the bridge design and take it out. I actually looked for it the first time they showed the teasers.
Ethan looks much better. At this point, the only tweaks I’d make to the makeup would be to shrink the sideburns and maybe make the ear points sweep back a little more.
Yeah, the bangs look right for this timeframe. The Starfleet sideburns are way too long.
On TOS the points were more forward.
The bridge is not underlit as darkly as it was on STD.
That feels like a TMP screen shot for some reason.
Real starships have curves.Wait. Hm
though look at the shading of the saucer, I don't think it's flat anymore I think it curves like the original now

And there's a character named La'an Noonien Singh because we have to dig up some sort of Khan connection as well. Can't leave that alone. I guarantee they'll be Tribbles in this as well.

Oh, I dunno. Life sucks these days. Nostalgia feels good. I’m all for it at this point.
I just want him to look natural. Odd how TOS managed to make the Vulcans look more believable than any production in the 55 years since. It’s like the secret was lost to time.
