Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

TAS being canon makes several really goofy concepts canon but if we can fit Megas Tu and Giant Spock into the continuity then we can find a way to explain the Bonaventure in the Phoenix-to-Enterprise 1701 evolutionary line.

Really goofy concepts? No worse than a giant green 'Space Hand' that grabs the Enterprise in orbit (projected by the god Apollo) - See TOS S2 - "Who Mourns For Adonias"...

Or President Lincoln floating IN SPACE and conversing to Kirk directly via teh Enterprise Bridge viewscreen. See TOS S3 - "The Savage Curtain".

Or 'Brainless Spock' being wired up to be run by Dr. McCoy (with his hairstyle FULLY INTACT after his brain was removed) so they can "bring him along" as they go searching a frozen planet for his brain...? See TOS S3 - "Spock's Brain"

So, yeah, does a 50' Spock close or a magic wielding Satyr REALLY stand out as some of the 'most ridiculous' concepts ever in TOS/TAS? I think not. ;)

Force fields can have hand shapes
Lincoln was an alien entity created by aliens and not human
Put the skullcap back on and the hair is absolutely fully intact ;)

What? Cheese being able to infect Bio-Neural Gel packs and make a ship 'sick' is entirely plausible....:wtf: <--- (Yeah, even I can't type that sentence with a straight face...)
Cheese can have bacterial spores, they can infect gel packs ;)

Richard Daystrom imprinted actual human brain engrams onto the circuitry of the M5 multitronic computer and that's an early form of bioneural computing tech, however limited to actually using human brain tissue to make the M5 more adaptive and intelligent.

We don't talk about that.

Or...Discovery. Or Control. Or Section 31, at least for a long time. Or...the Delphic Expanse and Temporal Cold War.
