Things at that network went downhill after 2001.

The peak of UPN advertising was this. They never matched or surpassed these ads.

Damn, Eddie. Watching those, I feel like it was all just yesterday.

My pre Enterprise hype was through the roof.

I think the only time my Star Trek hype level was higher was the drop of the second Oh-Nine trailer.

One of them lived up to its potential.

UPN Tuesday is red hot.

If memory serves, UPN's ads made everything look like raunchy comedy circa 2002.
Hey I recognize one of those shows.

Girlfriends was a banger back in the day.

I loved promo 3 at the time and still do. For the longest time Broken Bow was my favourite series premier, in fact as I think about it, it still is. I prefer it over The Cage, Where No Man Has Gone Before, Encounter at Farpoint, Emissary, Caretaker, Battle of the Binary Stars & Remembrance (I haven't seen Lower Decks and only a couple of episodes of TAS). Perhaps, perhaps the Strange New Worlds premier will change that.

The only series premiere I enjoy more than "Broken Bow" is "Remembrance." To Enterprise's credit, however, I don't consider "Broken Bow" one of its best outings. I do feel that way about "Remembrance." That episode downright arrested my attention in ways that only "Nepenthe" rivaled.

"Broken Bow, Parts I and II(ENT)" is the only cinematic Trek series premiere in both story and execution. It looked expensive for the time, runs almost two hours and still does look impressive from cinematography and visual effects perspectives. It also had a pretty interesting plot mixing first contact with Klingons with the Temporal Cold War and delivered on a great musical score.

I’d still go with emissary or caretaker, then farpoint personally. Caretaker in particular has a lot of new fx stuff happening, whereas emissary is both a contained story and a pilot, with decent set ups for almost everyone. Also.. wolf 359.

I think "Caretaker" is my third favorite? I like it. I'd like it more if the barnyard banjo high jinks were replaced with... I don't know... anything else.
