I liked both of those episodes. People are to hard on them.
Well, it's like I always say. There are fans of everything in Star Trek, even if they're often unsung.
I dislike 'em, but more power to ya.

Yeah, the stereotypes depicted of the Irish-descended Bringloidi in TNG's Up the Long Ladder were almost as bad as the stereotypes used in Code of Honor. And then there was the exaggerated Irish accent from Fuzz in the Section 31 movie.I think it's the depiction of the Irish in the episodes that some people get upset over.
Yeah, that was Sean's biggest down in the TrekCulture review IIRC lmaoAnd then there was the exaggerated Irish accent from Fuzz in the Section 31 movie.
That would have been amazing, and the uproar from the people who didn't like stuff like Subspace Rhapsody or Those Old Scientists would have been glorious.According to an article in SFX, they considered doing an animated SNW episode in the style of TAS
I would of loved that, TAS is underrated imo

Why do you want me to be unhappy? That would have been amazing, and the uproar from the people who didn't like stuff like Subspace Rhapsody or Those Old Scientists would have been glorious.
Up the Long Ladder basically looked at John Ford's The Quiet Man and assumed that's exactly what Ireland must be like. If you know anything about Ford, you know he could embellish and bullshit like nobody's business, so it's hardly a template to follow.Yeah, the stereotypes depicted of the Irish-descended Bringloidi in TNG's Up the Long Ladder were almost as bad as the stereotypes used in Code of Honor. Better question is, why do you let it make you unhappy? Why do you want me to be unhappy?
Don't forget to break out the 'candle' too....Hopefully not "Fair Haven" happy.
Because I'm affected by things I allow myself to become invested in. A side effect of loving something is that it can hurt you.Better question is, why do you let it make you unhappy?
This.Better question is, why do you let it make you unhappy?
There's a lot more important things in real life to get upset over than a TV show.
Lighten up and live a little.
See that kind of worked for me in a Father Ted sort of way.And then there was the exaggerated Irish accent from Fuzz in the Section 31 movie.
Heh .. Go watch some episodes of Graham Norton when he has Irish celebrities on.And then there was the exaggerated Irish accent from Fuzz in the Section 31 movie.
Oh, someone already did. And they broke it out, alright.Don't forget to break out the 'candle' too....

I love Star Trek dearly. It's been in my life for almost 34 years, longer than most of my friendships.Because I'm affected by things I allow myself to become invested in. A side effect of loving something is that it can hurt you.
You do you I guess. But even I don't take it so seriously.
