Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

And putting the music studio-style mixing faders and slide controls on the consoles that in the previous movie were all smooth, slick touchscreens just looked clumsy and unappealing.

TUC is a terrible movie.
Honestly, with rare exception, none of the classic films are THAT great.

Strangely enough, critiques on set design aside, I find that TMP holds up the best. It set out to be this deep and somewhat cerebral film and mostly succeeded. Plus, I think after all these years, it's the only film of the "classics" that feels like a big movie. Also maybe The Voyage Home.

Everything else just feels very..... TV Movie of the week. And that includes the TNG films.

That version of the Enterprise-A is just gorgeous even if the Engine Room and corridors are just recycled TNG Season 2 sets.

Love the SNW bridge.
It's truly a stunner, though I feel it's a bit too roomy, like a lot of the SNW sets. The crazy thing to me about the Bridge is that it's actually smaller in total area than the Ready Room set, judging from the set plans.

I'm sure I've said it before, but I absolutely love how they've pretty much drawn a straight line in terms of design evolution from the NX-01 to the Kelvin to the SNW Enterprise. Love it.

I just realized something, Pelia has stated that "she was on Earth as early as the time of Pythagoras.".

Pythagoras was born in 570 BC & died in 495 BC.

SNW takes place in 2259

When time traveling into the past, Pelia looks identical for obvious reasons, but that's 2023.

That means Laanthanites easily have life-spans in the #,### years, and maybe even ##,### years.

Heck, it wouldn't be silly for Carol Kane's Character of Pelia to appear in ST:PIC's Early 25th century era or up to the 31st century.

Heck, she might have met Flint at some point in Human History
