Ditching camouflage is one thing, but having color coded tactical uniforms is quite another. In today's military, rank insignia is intentionally small and located in the same spot for everyone of every rank exactly to obscure who the higher ranking people are so the enemy won't know who to treat as a priority target, Likewise, saluting and standing at attention in the presence of a superior are suspended while in the field for the same reason. Having color coded tactical gear seems to negate the purpose of having tactical gear. All the enemy has to do is take note of which one is wearing a gold vest and declare them a priority target. Or anyone with a red vest as they're likely the ones with more combat experience. On Disco, everyone wore a blue field uniform with no distinctive features for department with a black vest. Even medical officers wore the blue field uniform despite usually wearing a white duty uniform. That's a tactical uniform which made sense. Yes, I know I'm getting too worked up over this.
