This was a lot of fun. Perhaps not upper tier Marvel but a great ensemble cast firing on all cylinders, chemistry between the various leads and the usual strong blend of humour and action. This made it one of the best non-sequel post-Endgame entries since Shang-Chi and the most enjoyable MCU film in yonks. I enjoyed Deadpool v Wolverine a lot but it was mostly a lot of in-jokes aimed at an established audience, whereas this one did advance the MCU somewhat (I unfortunately have yet to see BNW, so I was a little surprised that Sam hasn’t yet put together an official Avengers team).
If the rumours that this movie’s director is also doing the MCU X-Men movie are true, that would be excellent news.

Well duh, a white American Soldier killed a Nonwhite guy with an Accent. Of course certain folks would love seeing that.
Slight tangent here, but this is quite an interesting interview with Wyatt Russell, in which he is clearly is quite proud of a tv show called Lodge 49, much of which was directed by Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier. Inspired me to check it out (available on ITVX on this side of the Atlantic) and I’m enjoying it so far. Not very super heroic but shows both Wyatt and Jake’s penchant for comedy.

I've vaguely heard of the show if only in the context of Russell being on it. But I didn't know Schreier had directed a bunch of episodes for it. I might have to check it out at some point considering how much I loved Schreier's work with Thunderbolts*.
Lodge 49 was a trippy, funny, show. I liked it alot.
Scarlett Johansson requested that her executive producer be removed from the credits of Thunderbolts* because she literally had nothing whatsoever to do with producing the movie.

Huh. I wonder why her name was attached to it in the first place. Weird.
It was probably a contractual obligation from her executive producer credit from Black Widow. If I recall correctly, John Favreau had executive producer credit on the Avengers movies for similar reasons.
Ah, that's right. I forgot that happened with Favreau.
Now, does having her name removed and saying she had nothing to do with the film keep her option open to actually produce a future film?
