Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

Mr. Leslie's rank kept changing. He's a lieutenant at one point and when he dies in "Obsession" he has no rank braids whatsoever. Why did he get demoted?

In SNW Galloway will die twice and be inexplicably brought back as if nothing happened.
Galloway's Memory Alpha page is gold [https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Galloway]:

He was killed on Omega IV by Captain Ronald Tracey in 2268. After exposure to the Omega IV virus and injured from an attack by a hostile tribe, he was vaporized by phaser fire at the hands of the USS Exeter captain. (TOS: "The Omega Glory")

Returning to duty in 2269, one of his later assignments was guarding the holding cell of Doctor Janice Lester, who was actually Kirk through a switch by a life-entity transfer machine. He witnessed Spock performing a mind meld and was the victim of a Vulcan nerve pinch when he resisted the first officer's attempts to convince him of the truth. (TOS: "Turnabout Intruder")

I've decided the doctor character is McCoy.
If that happens, I guess Dr. McCoy was lying about his length of time on the Enterprise at his Klingon trial then.

McCoy: For twenty-seven years I have been ship's Surgeon aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. In three months I stand down.

And? These folks don’t care. They just want to ring subscription dollars out of Trek fans.

I've decided the doctor character is McCoy. Because I want to see people lose their shit.
Do it!

He served as a Federation cultural advisor to Capella IV around 2265 but yeah, he came aboard the NCC-1701 as the new chief medical officer in 2266 and served in that capacity until around the time the 1701-A was decommissioned.

ST VI took place in 2293, so McCoy was not lying when he said he served as Enterprise CMO for 27 years. They just were not, technically speaking, on the same Enterprise...

I think they should have Combs play a Romulan. I think he would make a good Romulan. As for Boyce I prefer John Flattery. If they do Colt right then Kiernan Shipka and Jose Tyler I say Kevin Alejandro. If by chance we see Robert April I say if you can't talk Tom Hank's into doing it try and get Denzel Washington and if you can't get him then get Martin Sheen or Kevin Costner.
