Thing is, Kevin Costner could actually work as Commodore or Admiral Robert April. He's just old enough to look like a former Starfleet Captain with a distinguished deep space career behind him but not yet old enough to be grey- or white-haired like he appears in TAS.

The first 3 seasons of discovery really didn’t have any leaks either, other than some Season 2 details from the same guy that posted the transporter room pictures.

Picard season 1 was pretty tight as well.

People often aged hard during the early-to-mid 20th Century. Look at Sean Connery's aging between You Only Live Twice(1967) and Diamonds Are Forever(1971). He must have drank and smoke through every orifice during those four years.
