He'll be killed by Space Nazis or Space Zombies or Space Terminators or Space-Something-Evil by the end of the pilot episode. Just to show that the new enemy are dead serious.
Just read this from the TV Guide email that I received. A bit surprised by the choice of Lou Diamond Phillips, but pleased at the same time. I'm becoming more and more curious to see how well everything will be played out. Hope that it works well for them, and that the show will turn into something special. 
Just when you think you’re out, they pull you back in...Awesome casting choice. I wish that casting call sheet had never been leaked. Or maybe tptb heard the uproar over SG 90210, and ditched their original plan...

He'll either be a reacurring character or a regular and he's not even supposed to go with the others to Destiny, so no he's not going to die in the pilot.
Now I hope everyone can quit bitching about Stargate 90210, since they have some grown ups in charge. It's more like Stargate: Above and Beyond.

Well this cast looks more promising than I would have hoped for. Here's hoping the writing is worthy of the casting.
Fun trivia: Jamil Walker Smith is the son of Phil Morris! Now I have to watch this show to root for the Spawn of Remata'Klan. Us Dominionites have to stick together.

Lou Diamond Phillips = awesome! When they first released the character descriptions, someone here mentioned LDP for Col. Young and that was the face that was stuck in my head for that character.
Glad to see he made it on the show though, although from what I heard before I have no idea where he fits in. Probably just a one off appearance.

Someday, they have to resurrect the Goa'uld and really do those suckers justice. One spawning Goa'uld on this claustrophic ship, unbeknownst to the others, could wreak some serious havoc. Forget the stupid Wraith...

But from the story it sounds like it is only a guest starring role for the series premiere. But still cool to have him on.
