I'm getting the feeling this is going to be "Melrose Place in Space"...
I hope I'm wrong, but only Carlyle seems to be over 25..
In reality, the kind of specialists and scientists they would need should all be at least OVER 25 (aside from the marine-type military personnel).
I'll give it a chance, but I have to admit I'm pessimistic about it.

So far the entire cast is over 25 Justin Lious is 41, Jamil Walker Smith is 26, David Blue is 29 and Brian J Smith is 27.

As I recall, the seaQuest effect was the elimination of everyone over *35*, with the esxception of Scheider.

I don't mind a younger cast. If they want to go more than a few years, they'll NEED a younger cast to grow up, and that can mean good drama. As even the more pessimistic people have said, if they can ACT, and if they can be given GOOD writing to act to, we'll be just fine.

Well, like I said, they all look much younger (maybe that's the reason they were picked).

I understand the logic behind this argument, and I will certainly give it a chance and keep an open mind, but having older people on the show shouldn't be a bad thing. Richard Dean Anderson proved that; when he left Stargate, it just wasn't the same anymore (although still worth watching).

Yeah but all of the Seaquest characters were ten years older when they came back from space.

Of course it was funny seeing Lucas trying to order a martini with the bartender of course not believing his age.

So only one cast member under 25 and three who are in their mid-40s and beyond.

Lou Diamond Phillips? That's hilariously awesome. Hopefully he's a regular and the Wraith don't kill him in the first episode just so we know they're serious. Because we already know that space vampires are ALWAYS serious.
