Stargate Universe Cast

So far the entire cast is over 25 Justin Lious is 41, Jamil Walker Smith is 26, David Blue is 29 and Brian J Smith is 27.

 

^The entire cast of Melrose Place was over 25, wasn't it ?

 

As I recall, the seaQuest effect was the elimination of everyone over *35*, with the esxception of Scheider.

I don't mind a younger cast. If they want to go more than a few years, they'll NEED a younger cast to grow up, and that can mean good drama. As even the more pessimistic people have said, if they can ACT, and if they can be given GOOD writing to act to, we'll be just fine.

To be honest? Hardly. The guy seems to be well-preserved .

Well, like I said, they all look much younger (maybe that's the reason they were picked).

I understand the logic behind this argument, and I will certainly give it a chance and keep an open mind, but having older people on the show shouldn't be a bad thing. Richard Dean Anderson proved that; when he left Stargate, it just wasn't the same anymore (although still worth watching).

 

Yeah but all of the Seaquest characters were ten years older when they came back from space.

Of course it was funny seeing Lucas trying to order a martini with the bartender of course not believing his age.

 

Can someone caption some of these cast photos with which character they will be playing on the show? Cause I can't seem to track down most of that info.

Man, they still haven't cast any of the women. A lot hinges on this.

 

WTF, Justin Louis looks about 45 to me. How the heck could anyone think he looks 25? And he's ugly to boot.

 

Maybe...but he looks like a seasoned military guy, which from what I understand, is what they were going for with that role.

 

Shouldn't they have started filming the show by now? Why isn't there any info on the women?

I think they start filming this week. It is not uncommon for all the roles of a TV show to not be completely cast when filming goes underway.

 

Still no news on female cast members? What is this, the USS Sausage Fest?

 

They start filming today so it's going to leak out one way or another.

 

Crap! I was afraid of that. Probably the first planet they visit they pick up some ponies, clowns and whip cream. Damn.

 

It's high time Stargate did something truly adventurous!

So only one cast member under 25 and three who are in their mid-40s and beyond.

Lou Diamond Phillips? That's hilariously awesome. Hopefully he's a regular and the Wraith don't kill him in the first episode just so we know they're serious. Because we already know that space vampires are ALWAYS serious.
