Yes the show sadly exists, but it is only canon in the minds of the ip owners who only care about the revenue it generates. Anybody with a braincell can see that the Enterprise NX-01 never existed in Trek canon before the show existed.
No, it is seeing the glaringly obvious.
Yes, we all know that the NX-01 did not exist before the show existed. And I'm pretty confident everyone who watches these shows have active brain cells, but thanks for your attempt at an insult. Stellar move there.
You know what else didn't exist before a show existed?
Deep Space 9, or Terok Nor when it belonged to the Cardassians. It existed for decades before the series premiered. We had multiple Cardassian episodes on TNG, so it
should have existed by them talking about it. But there was not a single word of it.
Or how about the Cardassians themselves? The Federation was having their border wars with them for YEARS before their first appearance. Yet no word in the previous 3 seasons of TNG.
Yet DS9 is
very much a part of canon, just as ENT is.
The only glaringly obvious thing is you don't like ENT. Fine, that's your take. I don't like DISCO. I think it's the worst series in the franchise currently, and it's not even close. But it is still canon, no matter what my feelings on it are. I'd love to simply excise it from canon, but I can't. I just simply don't watch it again.
If you want to debate the merits of ENT's stories, how the characters are written or portrayed, the look of the technology, etc., go for it. I do that with DISCO. But trying to go the route of 'it's not canon' simply because you don't like it is just the height of hubris.
I won't even do that with DISCO because it's simply inaccurate.
