Non hominid would be nice. A Horta like Nahrat from the novels or triped like Arex from TAS.

Would prefer an Andorian main character rather than more weird forehead widget aliens, too.

I'd love to see a Hydran, from Star Fleet Battles. Little waddling tentacly triped. Utterly not humanoid.

Or what the Gorn are up to, all these years later. They're humanoid, but far less 'human-ish' than a Bajoran!
