That's not how any of this works, nor has it ever worked that way.A Star Trek show doesn't get to pick their own acronym, it's whatever the majority of the fandom decides to use. Which often isn't what the people making the show would prefer.

No, they are not.Nope. Fateor is right .

Not really.Nope. Fateor is right .
No, it started with the STAR TREK CONCONRDANCE, with three letter abbreviations for episodes.Did the tradition of the three letter abbreviation start with the Chronology and Encyclopedia? I guess it probably wasn't even a thing to make an abbreviation before TNG debuted.

And they did, just not to you.Not if they make sense.
They are both trailers pushed for the exact same reason. So you judge the performance of a preview scene against a mass marketed major studio's new trailer? They are not the same, the push behind the trailer gets it out there more and people are more likely to watch aa trailer than a preview scene no matter what it's for.
I've done enough. And a song again is completely different.
If you can provide equal comparisons that prove your point I will listen but so far you have plucked apples and oranges and are trying to tell me which of the two is the better banana.
And you'd be correct, if majority likes something it's good even in small samples.By your logic I could point to this very thread and direct you to the amount of likes receieved by certain viewpoints and call that representitive.
Agenda? The fuck you on about? And if you'll recall I never said your point was explicitly wrong, I said it could never be proven not beyond polling every single person in the world who identifies as a fan of at least one Star Trek show. But you clearly have an agenda to push.
Eh, it's a tie with the ENT-E and the Vengeance as my fav ships. The Fuglyprise?

I'm interested in this; I've looked myself for indications of the success of the streaming shows but it all seems very cagey, even when it's ostensibly good news. At best there's just very vague stuff like "subscriber counts went up when new Discovery seasons came out", but I've not been able to find any concrete figures or metrics. What's funny is that I can provide other metrics too but you'll ignore them as well.
Why does it need to suceed? The only 'agenda' I have is the desire for every Trek show to succeed, but with what I am seeing it might not be the case for Academy.
Paramount has been absolutely horrible in marketing this show or try to make it appealing beyond us old school Trek fans.
You're right about one thing that it's hard to get the correct viewership numbers nowadays, Netflix started this trend and every other streaming service followed suit.I'm interested in this; I've looked myself for indications of the success of the streaming shows but it all seems very cagey, even when it's ostensibly good news. I did find out that SNW's third season had what looks like an unexpected drop-off, starting in the top ten charts and then vanishing by the finale, but that's such a weak indicator that I wouldn't necessarily read it as proof that the show was abandoned by the audience (nor would I exclude that possibility, especially given the critical response from the audience seemed to tailspin on many review aggregate sites). If you have any more detailed indicators I'd love to see them!
