Fan reactions to Starfleet Academy's female Jem'Hadar/Klingon hybrid character

First of all, welcome to the board, @Captain Graham!

As for your post: What’s the reason why any of that couldn’t have changed in the 800 odd years since we last saw a Jem’Hadar?
The founders only offered concessions to "the solids" because they were beaten during the Dominion war. It would be believable that they would splice a klingon/Jem hadar hybrid if the Dominion had become allies with the Federation and Klingon empire since that time.

But they were generally not a people that liked to change the status quo at all and would not hesitate to genocide entire worlds if they provoked their wrath for thousands of years even before DS9.

Odo did promise reforms, and indeed in Picard S3 we learn that Vadic and her followers left the Dominion in protest of those reforms. Therefore, it's not impossible that in 800 years those reforms have made it so the Jem'Hadar can reproduce naturally, or that the Jem'Hadar might get frisky with another species.

I think you’re underestimating just how much 800 years is and how much can change in that time. Just look at our own real world history and compare the circumstances of 2025 to those in the year 1225. I honestly don’t see any reason why in 8 centuries the Jem'Hadar couldn’t have been changed so that they live longer lives and reproduce naturally. How boring Trek would be if we were to assume everything would always stay the same.

Not disagreeing but VOY did show a lot of things were the same in the 29th century then ENT doubled down with the 31st.
Tech progression wise there shouldn't even be any 'starships' in that era.
Feds should have recovered and reverse engineered Iconian gateways or transwarp hubs for instantaneous travel.

Based upon many responses I think people want it to be the same.

Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be a Trekkie. If even we are so petty and racist there's no hope for the world.

I don't understand all this hate/vitriol online suddenly about the female Jem'Hadar/Klingon hybrid character from Starfleet Academy.
It's very easy to explain. It's called the internet. Problem solved. ;)

But in all seriousness, the fact its a Jemhadar/Klingon hybrid tells me one of two things happened.

1.) The Jemhadar decided that adding Klingon DNA to theirs would make them stronger
2.) A Male Jemhadar mated with a Klingon female.

I'm sure at some point there will be an episode to explain everything because god forbid we have a character with that much mystery surrounding them.

Sorry, I need a full birth to death bio on every character before I will even considering watching.

Airiam and every other underdeveloped character are saying hi!

Sulu is still waiting on his. Maybe in season five of SNW?
The story of a young science officer with a secret love of piloting but he joined the sciences I dont know lets say pressure from his family and he slowly learns to accept that he has his own wants in life and it's okay to follow them.

Just off the top of my head, it'll probably be better than that or non-existent as there won't be a Sulu in SNW at all.

I didn't not like those either. I just wish they had been given the chance to shine a little more. But unfortunately there's only so much you can do with 10-episode-seasons.
This is true. But, I'm one who only needs one episode to be in to a character. And, conversely, one episode can make a character less savory and diminish a series.
